The Art
The trees within Bleau's paintings are inspired by her local surroundings such as the Ashdown Forest, as well as trees she sees on her travels and all across England. It is their essence and beauty she aims to interpret as well as the important message of taking time to see the nature around us and to care for and appreciate it.
Bleau works with mixed media on canvas and uses a variety of organic materials, some of which she collects herself from woodlands and others such as her natural papers which are made by communities in Tibet. These are all fair trade, environmentally friendly and aim to support communities in other countries.
Bleau currently displays work at Ashdown Gallery - Forest Row, Green Tree Gallery - Borde Hill Garden's, Graingers Gallery near Arundel and at exhibitions and festivals.
Bleau welcomes commissions and is continually working on new works at her studio on the Ashdown Forest.
